More of an Appreciation than a boast for the 20 pubs of Ireland.

So just very recently Mother Mac’s pub has been listed as one of the “20 Best pubs in Ireland to visit” thanks to www.lonelyplanet.com

Now I’ll be very honest I’ve never heard of this site but curiosity kills the cat and I had an aul goo myself. They’ve travelled around the country, North, South, East and West to find the pubs that are an absolute gem to meet and drink in!!…… well by jesus what a line up πŸ˜€

First and foremost, a massive congratulations to all pubs involved and I mean that. It’s very obvious that we all collectively struck a good chord with the people who nominated us. It really means a lot 🍻❀.

So what do or can I say for the pub i work in, learn in, have the craic in and absolutely drives me mental in?? (The last part is an inside joke) πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

Well it’s quiet simple yet hard to explain all at once so I’ll try my best here……

I’ve being working alongside Mike and James in Mother Mac’s for nearly 5 years thus far and driving them up the fucking walls in general (its a Roscommon thing, I can’t explain) πŸ˜‚ but my time there is an absolute hard bastarding grunt work story that only the two lads can explain!!! I’ve been there for the ups and I’ve been there for the downs but family always stays together and I’m very honoured to be part of the “Mother’s” family ❀❀❀

For those who don’t know of the two lads who wear their hearts on their sleeves every single day of the week, I can assure you that you will understand why once you walk into mother mac’s pub……. it’s quiet literally the chill out and relaxation of the place, it’s Mike and James talking to you about your favourite craft beers and whiskey, it’s the regulars who keeps our feet on the floor while we all lovingly rip the piss out of each other while first time customers are sitting there in the moment loving the buzz between all.

It’s about everyone who walks through the door from all over the world who wants to ask for a beautiful creamy pint of Guinness to asking for a pint of our legendary Limerick family “Treaty City” Harris pale ale!!! The list really goes on.

So before I finish this I just want to say to Mike, James and fellow staff in mother mac’s….. I feel like the luckiest bastard in the world for working alongside ye and I always will 🀝πŸ₯°β€ and I’m also very honoured to not only be working in one of the most prominent pubs in Limerick City, but also the fact that I’m working in one of the 20 pubs in Ireland to visit.

I’m one happy Roscommon man πŸ˜‰ πŸ’›πŸ’™ πŸ’šπŸ’š
